Who we are?

It all started from an idea of Stefano Gérard, an Italian baroque violinist who in 2024 began thinking about an online marketplace dedicated to fine baroque instruments, “and beyond”. On this basis was born Baroque 'n Beyond, with a desire to bring together luthiers, bow makers, and music artisans in one place to offer a comprehensive, high-quality service from A to Z

Do you deal only with stringed instruments?

We mainly deal with string instruments and their accessories, but in the miscellaneous section, you can also find other instruments and items that vary in availability.

Why are there no audio samples?

Every instrument we have has a unique voice influenced by the wood, construction technique, and setup. An audio sample could never fully capture the nuances and natural resonance of an instrument. For this reason, we do not use digital recordings — the only way to truly hear the sound is to try the instruments in person. Anyone interested is welcome to come and test them directly with us!

How can I do it if I can't be there in person?

Most of the time we do our best to go to our customers ourselves. We are also expanding our network of dealers and associates so that you can try the instruments you are interested in at the point nearest to you.
